7 Songs to beat the rush hour

By: Joseph Andre Gaspar

We all know that the holidays of Holy Week can cause tremendous traffic and it can be very frustrating to those who wanted to travel to various places. Try to relieve the frustration
with these 7 songs that we compiled together.

1.
For the EDM (Electronic Dance Music) lovers here, I recommend Faded by Alan Walker. This song is one of my favorites because it makes me motivated for some reason. By the way, this song has very short lyrics and all most of friends pretty much know it so sing along as the song goes.

2.
For some people out there who loves classic memes, I recommend Take on Me by a-ha. It is a song where you can dance while listening and just sitting in the car and most importantly, you can somewhat recall the 90’s with this music vibe.

3.
Here’s for mainstream song by Bruno Mars ft. Cardi B, Finesse gives you a very funky and groovy vibe. It is also a song that even if you played it over and over it will never get old. Trust me, I know. This song is recommended by Ameera Luntao.

4.
This list will not be complete without an OPM (Original PinoyMusic) so here’s Bawat Daan by Ebe Dencel. When I first listen to this, it gave me the “Harana” vibe and I think it is cool how the song is written.

5.
Here’s another OPM song to lighten up that grumpy feeling in your chest, Titibo-tibo by Moira Dela Torre. Here’s a tip, make sure your lungs are prepared because singing this song can be make you run out of oxygen. Trust me, everyone knows that. By the way, this song won the Himig Handog 2017.

6.
For a song that can be relatable here’s Young Dumb and Broke by Khalid. This song pretty much summarizes everyone’s school days. Well, sing along and be young, dumb and broke just like song says.

7.
Here’s the last one on out list, if you want something that is Holy Week themed song, I recommend Hallelujah by Jeff Buckley. I’m sure you already know why I put this song on the list. This song will always give me the chills when listening to it and I know this happens to you too. This song is recommended by Jamie Karen Hernandez.

With these songs I’m pretty sure your travel will always be pumped up with smiles and laughers but at the end of the day, we must know the meaning of Holy Week and use this to be able to guide us not only in this week’s holiday but all throughout the year.

Mga buhay sa likod ng palaspas
By: Lorrie Rein Perlac

Iba't ibang disenyo, iba't ibang buhay.

Engaged couple Billy and Coleen receives criticism
Ronaldo Magsakay

Stir the social media.

Few hours after being posted, the jaw-dropping pre-nuptial wedding photos of Kapamilyas Its Showtime afternoon hosts Billy Crawford and Coleen Garcia that is shot in Lalibela, Ethiopia went viral on the internet after netizens deem the couples pre-nup photos insensitive and offensive.

In their photographs, the engaged couple incorporated beautiful landscapes of Ethiopia mesmerizing the viewers with their creative photoshoot.

However, not only the African scenery was involved in the picture but also the Ethiopian locals in the aforesaid village, this generates different opinions in social media as some people interpreted it as the Euthopian locals were used as prop to flaunt their wealth and priveledges as white .

On the other hand, Billy and Coleen clarified their side on the issue.

"Its unfortunate how it was taken out of context. Its far from what we intended. We were invited and sponsored by Ethiopian Airlines to do our shoot there for their tourism and capture their natural environemtn because we were told that tourism helps their economy. Thats why we were in Euthopia," the couple said in a statement.

Flash to bid goodbye come 2020

Following the similar, final steps that Yahoo!, Chikka, Friendster, and Internet Explorer took, Adobe’s Flash will terminate its support on the program come 2020, taking with it the diverse amount of programs and games.

Flash, more commonly associated with simple control games that are playable via web browsers, runs as what is called the Adobe Flash Player that grew on popularity way back in the early 2000’s.

While Flash’s domination was pretty evident on the 2000’s, the advent of smartphones on 2007 and differing codes for new and additional net security made the Flash era crumble to goodbye.

HTML5 standards have been the benchmark of web browsers in the past decade in terms of animation and additional security, making Flash in particularly no place anymore concerning programming and web browsing.

Issues of Flash forcing the page back to the ads, steal focus from the browser, and being a security threat are some of the reasons why Adobe decided to take off the support from Flash, taking it into  question if whether or not the more than 80,000 Flash games will be preserved or be completely erased.

The program that was particularly inclined in enabling animation and graphics playable on the internet happened to be a versatile tool for creating basic game, thus raking a following from basic game creators and coders aside the target market which are the artists.
Apple’s Safari, Google’s Chrome, and Edge from Microsoft have already not been allowing Flash in them making Adobe to just drop the case for the program since its main platform is through browsers.

Although Adobe’s announcement said that they won’t support Flash anymore, they also clarified that they will still support Adobe Animate, which is the re-branded version of Flash.
